FACULTY OF LETTERS AND SCIENCES

The Faculty of Letters and Sciences of Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești provides a rich and diverse educational offer thanks to the 7 Bachelor’s degree specializations that harmoniously combine the study of Humanities with that of Education Sciences, Administrative Sciences and Informatics. Graduates of our Bachelor programmes may be admitted to a post-graduate study programme and may further expand their  competencies within the Master’s degrees corresponding to the following fields: Romanian Cultural Studies in the European Context, Concepts and Strategies of Intercultural Communication, Educational Management and European Integration, School Counselling and Career Development, Public Administration and European Integration, Advanced Information Processing Technologies. All specializations are accredited, being nominated in the decisions of the ARACIS Council.

The educational process unfolds on a modern and unitary campus, encompassing both study and recreational facilities.

At the end of the third year of study (or the fifth year, if you also choose a Master’s programme), you will have one of the following professional career options (as specified in the Study Guide):

• Research Assistant in Philology, Press Correspondent; Documentarist; Philologist; Literature Consultant, Foreign Affairs Consultant; Literary Secretary; Translator (higher education) etc.
• Programmer / Developer of Software Systems and Applications; Developer / Administrator of Database Applications and Systems; Administrator of Various Computing Infrastructures (computing systems, computer networks, Internet, grid, etc.); Website and Web Application Developer / Administrator; ICT Manager / Consultant; Computer Science Teacher, etc.
• Public Administration Expert; Consultant in Public Institutions; Diplomatic / Governmental Consultant; City Hall / Prefecture Secretary; Consular Agent; Registry Consultant/ Secret Documents Inspector; Assistant Manager; Conferences and Events Organizer etc.
• Teacher in Primary and Preschool Education, School Inspector / Counselor, Psycho-pedagogue, Speech Therapist, Education Expert, School Manager, Education Consultant, etc.
